About the Author

David Pettitt was born and reared in the Buffalo, New York area. While early education disciplines included instruction by the Franciscans, he never imagined he would end up in his current role as a pastor and now an author. He spent time in the U.S. Air Force and much of his adult career found him in the restaurant and catering industry. Perhaps it was this exposure to so many people in the catering business that led him to start seeing his true "calling". He was successful in business and had achieved and received many accomplishments so a career change was not in the plan. He remained faithful to his religious beliefs, so much so, that when the day came that he felt such strong urge to make a move, he knew he had to give up everything and go. David is happy spending his time in the ministry, leading, building new works and delivering the "message". His first book examines his faith and listening and "going out without knowing", to the call of God. It is also about "hearing"... hearing with a discerning ear, a message that was meant just for you and stepping up and responding. David is a Pastor in Pensacola, FL as he continues to listen to the call of God upon his life.
